Jasmine Wins Oceania Olympic Qualifying Tournament – Preliminary Event

Jasmine Klumpp has continued her winning ways with an impressive victory at the Oceania Olympic Qualifying Tournament recently held in Melbourne

With a 12 – 0 win and 1st round stoppage in the first competition, followed by an 18 – 4, 3rd round stoppage in the following competition
In Jasmines third and final competition, her opponent pulled out, leaving her with the first place and qualifying her through to the Olympic Qualifying Tournament Australian Team Selections held in Perth during August.

Should Jasmine win, she will then get the opportunity to qualify Australia and possibly herself in the womens under 57kg blackbelt division. Its a tough ask but her last couple of competitions prove her quick rate of improvement
and scored 30 points with only 4 against her at this level is always promising. She is definately among the top breakaway group all contesting a possible chance to represent Australia at such a prestigious event
