Jayme-Lee Smith (14) has pulled off a very impressive victory
and taking out gold at the recent
Australian Team Selection Trials for the World Junior Championships
in Egypt held over the weekend in Perth

At still only 14 years of age and fighting the under 18’s division.
The Taekwondo Central Black belt thumped her opponent in the final
ending with a second round stoppage with the score at 20 – 2. Jayme-Lee
fought the u/18 silver medalist for the division up from last years 2011 Nationals

Its a string of achievements as she currently hold the WA State Taekwondo Title,
The Australian Taekwondo Title, The very highly contested International Taekwondo Clubs
Championships (Silver to Vietnam) and now earning a spot in the Australian Junior Team
seamed to be the next step, and she did it convincingly

Other competitors were Ben Jerez who fought a tough division to earn a bronze and Sarah Turner (14)
who lost to the evential winner by just a point.

Well done to all the team, were very proud of you all

19 year old Jasmine Klumpp become our most successfull ever after winning
the Taekwondo Central Club Champion for the 3rd Time (2011, 2010, 2008).

The Taekwondo Central Instructor was awarded the Cup after winning
2011 WA State Champuionship – Gold
2011 Olympic Preliminary Qualifying Event – Gold
2011 Commonwealth Taekwondo Championships (India) – Gold
2011 International Clubs Taekwondo Organisation Championships (Vietnam) – Gold

At still such a young age, Jasmine will surely be a competitor to watch out for in the
future

27 year old Aravind Krishnan. U,  has pulled off an amazing grading to earn his Yellow Belt 2 Stripe (8th Gup)
in an impressive display of skill and talent to Double Grade in his first grading.

Since entering the doors of tkdcentral.com Headquarters, he has thouroughly impressed all of the
clubs instructors with amazing talent and an ability to pick up techniques quicker than any student that has
entered the Full Time Academy

Aravind is a Martial Arts movie enthusiast who has learned many of his skills by mirroring the stars of the screen
and tranfered that into amazing skills and ability which made the Centrals Instructors job very easy.

Aravinds standard is so high we have got him in sparring the Blackbelts where he hold his own against the
clubs best

“We are so proud to have in our team” said Head Instructor Justin Warren. Not only his Martial Arts skill
but also his discipline, personality and mannerism will take him along way in the Taekwondo arena.

Aravind is now looking at grading to Yellow 3 Stripe (7th Gup) at the end of January as part of the January Summer Holiday Program
and has expressed interest in stepping into the Tournament scene in 2012. We wish him the best of luck in his future Martial Arts achievements

Taekwondo Central Junior Dynamite Ajana Plunkett (13) is Taekwondo Centrals first under 14 to receive
her 3rd poom (jnr Black Belt grade)after successfully passing her grade and earning the 3rd highest mark
of some 80 Taekwondo Ohdokwan State members attempting the grading

Graded by a panel of 4th Dan & above senior blackbelt, which included Grandmaster Ross Hartnett (8th Dan Blackbelt),
Master Carmela Hartnett (7th Dan Blackbelt) and Taekwondo Central Head Instructor Master Justin Warren (5th Dan Blackbelt)

The former World Taekwondo Expo Champion (won in Korea), ITCO (International Taekwondo Club Organisation) Gold Medallis,t
past Taekwondo Central Club Champion (Central Cup) winner & Leadership Team member showed an
impressive display of kicking and punching techniques, step sparring, self defence, knife defence, Board Breaking Techniques and Sparring
which included WTF Olympic Style Sparring & Kickboxing style sparring to earn the high level at such a young age

Ajana who has had a break in 2011 from sparring is hoping to enter back into the arena this year as she makes her
way back to competition sparring after resting due to injury

Ajana is a regular helper at many of Taekwondo Centrals classes including Busselton Taekwondo & Eaton Little Dragons
plus helping at Taekwondo Central HQ in Bunbury.
