The combination of its 55 years old history makes it rare enough, but the fact only 6000 Bottles were made and just a quick search on the internet can see how many have been consumed. In fact it may be among Australia’s rare wines, with a number of reviewers already tasting and its small 6000 bottles produced. In a article 17th FeB 2004 Titled  “Lindemans 1965 Hunter Shiraz” by Ken Gargett  it is quoted

“Lindeman’s knows of the existence of only one remaining bottle of its 1959”

In recent months I’ve tasted magnificent bottles of 1959 vintage Lindemans Hunter River Burgundy Bin 1590 and 1956 vintage Bin 1270 Hunter River Porphry. Both wines were moved in the mid 1980s direct from the Lindemans Cellar to the similarly cool Farmer Bros Manuka cellar (currently being refurbished to accommodate consumer wine tastings by new owners, Liquorland Vintage Cellars). Sadly, those two legends of the fifties, both with production measured in mere hundreds of cases, are no longer part of Lindemans annual Classic Wine Releases.

‘Australia’s Mr Wine’ Len Evans treated a much smaller number of us to a dozen or so gems from his and others’ cellars, fully mature treasures such as the famous 1959 vintage of Lindemans Bin 1590 ‘Burgundy’, a prosaic name for an improbably, if heart- stopping, blend of Hunter Valley Shiraz with a little Pinot. 1959 Bin 1590 – Five Stars

Lindemans 1959 Bin 1590 Burgundy is one of the greatest Hunter Valley wines, on a par with the best of Maurice O’Shea’s light-bodied dry reds – for Bin 1590 is not a leviathan like the 1965 Bin 3110, nor some of the bigger O’Shea wines. Over the years I have drunk many bottles of this wine: it is now exceedingly rare, and it may be I will not taste it again. In a sense, I do not wish to: I would prefer to remember the sheer perfection of the bottle tasted for this work in November 1994.

Medium to full tawny-red; a gloriously fragrant and complex bouquet with a magnificent array of aromas from sweet berry through liquorice to sweet leather. On the palate a superb example of Hunter Valley Hermitage; they simply do not come any better than this. Sweet fruit comes on the mid to back palate, finishing with soft tannins on a dry, yet not drying, farewell.

Lindeman’s, Bin 1590 Shiraz 1959

In 1985 James Halliday, in his Australian Wine Compendium, noted the wine’s ‘light to medium garnet-red colour’ and its ‘soft but infinitely complex amalgam of leather, earth and vegetative aromas, yet with the fruit to carry all those things. The palate is a logical extension of the bouquet: the velvety softness gives an allusion of lightness, but the wine has both the alcohol and the structure to go on almost indefinitely.’ When he tasted the wine again later he said: ‘A gloriously fragrant and complex bouquet with a magnificent array of aromas from sweet berry through liquorice to sweet leather.’ Hunter Valley Shiraz, he concluded, does ‘not come any better than this’. The Australian wine writer Ken Gargett recalls Len Evans proclaiming after a wine dinner in around 2006, at which it was served, that Bin 1590 was ‘the greatest Hunter wine of the last 50 years’. Gargett himself found it ‘mature and complex, with notes ranging from animal hide to campfire… richly flavoured, a hint of beefstock. Amazingly elegant. Though obviously mature, a very long, complex wine. Extraordinary. ‘Len Evans proclaimed that Bin 1590 was
“The greatest Hunter wine of the last 50 years”’

A Friend just bought Shazam 1 for $200 USD, I thought that was quite a high price for this 9.4 cgs rated comic. It was worth a third of that price. Questioning him I asked why he paid so much, his answer was easy. “they just announced theyre releasing a Shazam movie in 2016 or 2017. Hes not the only one thinking like this. I have recently seen a number of 9.2 and above getting $200+, a huge amount over their catalogue worth of the valuation websites. Either the comic value webpages have it wrong or something is making the price and demand rise for Shazam 1

Dwayne The Rock johnson has been confirmed to act in the movie, he was first thought to be playing Shazam himself but on latest reports he will be playing supervillian and equally as strong “Black Adam”. The character Shazam was rumoured to have an appearance in the upcoming Batman vs Superman movie as a way to introduce him to the public. The worlds mightiest mortal will then move to the centre stage where he will star in his own movie as both DC and Marvel start to unleash some of the other lesser known super heroes outside the usual mainstream Batman, Superman, Hulk, Spiderman, Wolverine, Ironman etc Shazam is that superhero. incredible powers, strength that rivals superman, if the effects are done correctly it will be a feast for the eyes like nothing seen.

I did my research and the value of Shazam 1 according to comic value sights is around $80 USD for a 9.4 (what my friend bought). He paid $200 – http://comicbookrealm.com/series/4448/0/Shazam!
This webpage is already at $130 US – https://www.mycomicshop.com/search?TID=180911. On ebay a Shazam 1 comic is selling for $195 & $208 USD. The asking price is already on the rise and as the movie gets closer, so to will the price raise higher in theory.

When writing this another 9.4 Shazam 1 comic sold for $160 USD so even if my friend has purchased above price for now, its steady price improvement will certainly catch up and surpass the $200 he paid

No Australian Artist got that much good publicity or national coverage. He become a household name and I would even bet that if you asked someone of that time the question “Whats The Name Of An Australian Artist” Pro Hart would be a name mentioned on most occasions other front runners would have been Rolf Harris who currently is having his art destroyed or thrown out due to recent indescent dealings with children conviction in the UK..
On the otherhand Sid Nolan from his Ned Kelly painting made the front cover of the Australian Folk Album The Bold Bushranger by Lionel Long  amoung many other achievements

and helped boost the painting series popularity.
Finally Ken Done is what many housewifes would have said due to his range of bedspreads towels and linen that had been released and went through a craze in Australia during the 90’s. Ken Dones bright colours and less attention to detail but more attention to shapes, colour and distortion as pictured below, appealed to many and rose his profile as an artist. Pro Harts advertisement appearance did the same for Dragonflies and Ants series in which a number where released, and TV was the king back then. I remember even joking with others trying to copy the catch frays in an accent with all my intended audience laughing and then spagetti power slide across the carpet. It stuck

Another sad factor is that an artist doesnt really make great value from their paintings  until they pass away. Death adds fame & mystery into the mental landscape of a painter, a greater interest creates higher prices due to more competition from potential buyers. Its a shame many of these amazing masters at their craft never saw the amazing prices original paintings from the greats will reach. Pro Hart is one such painter, he passed away in 2006.

A popular TV appearance that boosted his publicity in comedic memorable way, even ending with a well repeated catch frase, and the unfortunate fact that we have lost this australian master adds up to his paintings raising in value and investors having a chance to own one of Australias favourite painters while his painting prices are still reachable to the average investor
