Description
Who this course is recommended for:
• Sports coaches; and
• Players and spectators of sports.
St John Ambulance recommends that you refresh your first aid training every 12 months. This is also in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council guidelines that state CPR skills should be refreshed annually.
Course Duration: 6 hours
Course Content:
- DRSABCD action plan;
- Recovery position;
- Foreign material;
- Positional asphyxia;
- Shock;
- Head, neck and spinal injuries;
- Eye injuries;
- Heat induced injuries;
- Severe bleeding;
- Abdominal injuries;
- Fractures, dislocations, sprains and strains; and
- Basic wound care.
